Life on an If

Week 3: If. If is a crazy word when you think of it. It holds immense power, what ever stipulation made previous to the word if is left hanging until one

hears whatever follows the word. For example, I can live a successful life if I can foster a good work ethic within myself. In this case the persons success is all contingent upon his ability to work hard.

During the last week or so I took time to dwell on the ifs in my life and what self betterment is contingent of these ifs. I've often found myself saying something like "if I study hard I will pass this test" the problem often is is a lack of commitment to the work that has to go before the test and this lack of commitment often leaves me empty handed in the achievement department. If I consistently worked out I could be in great shape right now. If I read great literature in my free time then I could have loads of knowledge. If I worked consistently at one skill I could have a specialist knowledge on that skill and possibly market it into a career.

With this in mind I can apply what I learned this week to the goals I set during my first blog post. If I can apply this concept in all areas of my life I will find that I am capable of all sorts of previously unimaginable things. I need to maximize moments and fulfill my ifs.
